Miami County Local Food Council is a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to supporting and promoting local farmers and producers. By making healthy, local food accessible to everyone, the organization strives to improve public health and contribute to the local economy.
The organization wanted a new website to increase awareness of who it is and what it does. It also aimed to increase donations and sponsorships while alleviating the backend work of collecting memberships and donations via phone.
Our Process
We started with a creative collaboration session with the Miami County Local Food Council team to understand their needs, goals and vision for the future. Our team then mapped out a website strategy that included:

Development of a budget-friendly template website that was user-friendly and provided the needed information for vendors, volunteers and donors.

Development of a food finder map on the website that allowed users to find where they could purchase local food at farmers' markets or local restaurants.

Automation of donation and volunteer forms so information could be gathered efficiently vs manually by phone
