Lincoln Community Center has a rich history of serving the Troy, Ohio, area youth and families. The organization needed a modern website that would help increase awareness of its core programs as well as make it easier for the community to stay involved.
The website needed to achieve the following goals:
- Promotion of community programs, including: After School Program, Summer Youth Activities, Youth Basketball League
- Educating youth in the community
- Utilize website to drive online sign-ups for programs and create internal operational efficiencies
- Improve communication of real-time program updates and changes and ability to make changes
The Marketing Essentials Strategy
Marketing Essentials first started with a website strategy that included close collaboration with the Lincoln Community Center (LCC) team. Our team mapped out the website and content to bring awareness to important features like the food pantry and after-school youth program.
Next, the website was designed and built to keep in mind a variety of requests from the LCC team:
- Ease of use – with changing activities and programs, the team needed to be able to add updates and use the site as a center of communication for their members and volunteers.
- Professional design – the team wanted a design that looked kid-friendly but also modern, clean, and professional.
- Clear – members have access to a wide variety of programs at LCC. It needed to be clear at a glance what was available and how membership worked.
Best-practice search engine optimization (SEO) was also an important component of the site to ensure Lincoln Community Center would rank well for its desired audience and industry.
Community, history and the local connection are important differentiators for Lincoln Community Center. The website shows all of these in a clear, concise format. The website also features a custom calendar feature that allows events to be easily shared with the community.
Content is paired with authentic images to show program offerings and differentiators, and brand colors are used consistently throughout.
