Wapakoneta City Schools was looking for support in developing official brand guidelines to ensure the school’s logo and messaging were accurate and consistent, both internally and externally.
Our team developed brand guidelines that included messaging to help communicate the mission of the school system; instructions for external vendors on how and when to use school logos and colors in digital format or print; internal guidelines on how to use branding in email signatures and apparel; and guidelines on what and how to communicate on social media channels.
We also developed brand reputation management guidelines to help staff understand how to quickly and appropriately respond to online reviews, whether positive or negative. The guidelines included who the brand reputation management team was with contact information and instructions on what to do if a negative (or threatening) comment/review is posted. Samples of how to respond to positive and negative reviews were provided.
Coaching was also conducted with staff to help them understand the importance of branding, brand management responses and effective communication with the public.
