I’m going to take a wild guess that you want to increase quality leads for your B2B company and you’re looking for way to do that. Have you ever thought about holding a webinar?
No? Well, continue reading because this information is too good to pass up.
Webinars are a Win-Win
Do you want to know the great things about webinars? People happily part ways with their sacred email address and other information because webinars are high value, hands-on training that they can enjoy from the comfort of their office or home.
It’s a win-win: you get a quality lead for your business and they get training.
According to Marketing Sherpa, an overwhelming 92% of respondents said webinars were one of the most effective means of generating high quality leads. A pretty amazing stat about a lead-generating tactic that you have never given thought to. Maybe now you will?
Engagement with Your Prospects
Webinars also give you the opportunity to speak directly to your prospects and demonstrate expertise in your industry. I’ve helped many companies with their webinars and the most successful ones are those who keep the audience engaged. When your audience is engaged, they pay more attention, stay on the webinar longer and are more inclined to take action.
I will say a major part of keeping your audience engaged is the due to the enthusiasm of the speaker. You could have the greatest slides and content in the world, but if your speaker is not enthusiastic or engaging, it won’t matter.
Here are some great ways to engage with your audience:
- Q&A Sessions
- Social Media
- Polling
- Surveys
- Collaboration
- Chat
Establish Yourself as an Industry Thought Leader
You also have the ability to establish yourself and/or your company as an industry thought leader. The average webinar is 56 minutes, so you have almost an hour to convey your knowledge and expertise to the audience. While most webinars are “free,” in reality they really are not.
Webinars require what some consider the most valuable resource in the world–time. If you’re hosting a webinar, you can bet that your competition is promoting webinars as well and fighting for that time with your prospects.
So use that 56 minutes wisely.
Make sure your content is exciting, relevant, engaging, and I’m sure you have heard this before, but leave the audience wanting more and knowing what to do.
Now that you have decided to explore the idea of holding a webinar, let me share with you some really great tips that I have learned from my experience.
Expert Webinar Tips:
- Hold your webinar on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Those are the days with the highest average attendance.
- The best day to send your promotional email is Thursday. It’s the day with the most registrants (around 24%).
- Not that is needs to be said, but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t say anything. Avoid holding your webinars on the weekends.
- Offer a recording of the webinar to those who registered. Viewing habits are evolving and the on-demand version of your webinar will serve as a valuable resource for your potential leads.
- Don’t worry if not everyone who registered actually attended. It’s their loss, right!? The average conversion rate of registrants to attendee is only 43%.
