# 4 Things Broadway Taught me About Internet Marketing

I love Broadway, and every time I go to a show, I am amazed at the message, and how I walk away feeling better about life and my career. However, some shows make me reevaluate life and choices. Positive or negative, Broadway teaches me life lessons I can carry to every aspect of my personal and professional life.

## There are 4 things all shows share that can help you in business.

### 1. Dream.

What is life without a dream? Everyone has a dream whether it is to be wealthy, famous, or successful behind the scenes; we all have a dream. Broadway displays the dream of an actor on the stage or the dream of their character. We, the audience, are pulled to the dream to understand, or to secretly, for a brief moment, live. Just like Broadway, businesses show how a dream can become a vision, a mantra that you, your company, or employees strive to achieve. It [becomes your strategy](https://mktgessentials.com/4-little-changes-that-will-make-a-big-difference-with-your-prospecting/) for success by pulling people into the dream. These dreams become a reality or a version of reality with hard work and vision.

### 2. Timing.

Without timing, the Broadway show will ultimately stink. Timing in songs, speaking, and acting makes the show successful. This is true for internet marketing. You need [timing with strategy](https://mktgessentials.com/3-ways-to-win-big-with-your-social-media-strategy/), posting, and following others to make your internet marketing work. It is all about when to post your content, and the strategy behind the posting, who and when to follow others in the marketplace to gain your own following. Timing.

### 3. Work Ethic.

Have you seen Broadway actors work? They do a show every day, sometimes twice a day, and give their best performance every time. They are constantly working to make their voice, actions, and facial expressions better and better. They strive to make each performance their best. In business you need work ethic to improve yourself and your company. You want to constantly be growing and learning to make yourself better, which in turn makes your company better too.

### 4. Talent.

The bottom line is if you don’t have talent, you will not be on Broadway. At least not for long. Talent is what draws people to you and want what you have or share what you give to others. In business, if you don’t have some talent, you will be swimming in a pond alone. Yep, you need to offer something that is different or unique to you and your company to be successful.People swarm around businesses that offer a unique product or market a product in a different way from their competitors. Show you have value in your customer’s life.

At the end of the day or the show, you can learn about internet marketing watching a Broadway show. The actors can give you insight on how to make your marketing sing.
